    Brand Magic is a resource I could only dream about when I started my business, mostly because any comparable resource was well beyond my budget. This printable is organized as a self-paced, beyond-the-basics workbook. Each section explains the whys, the hows, and the route to get from where you are now to where you want to be in branding. By personifying your brand, your market, and your audience, you are able to build your own tribe of advisors, all within the pages of this guide. Which word should you choose for that post? Will your ideal customer connect to this photo? Should you offer that product? Brand Magic doesn’t answer those questions for you. Even better, it give you the tools to let YOUR BRAND answer those questions.

    Branding is a personal love-interest of mine, but I was far from really understanding how to put all the puzzle pieces together to project my company persona to the Interwebs and in-person. I understood branding wasn’t just my logo or my packaging or my Etsy store or my website. What I didn’t understand is HOW to BE my company persona and be myself at the same time. I am thrilled to have found and invested in this absolutely magical workbook that took my questions and helped me put the puzzle pieces to work!

    The information provided here isn’t worked through in one day, but rather portrays the need to take time for deep reflection and discovering what your company brand goals are before implementing your images, colors, print and website copy. What helps me in this workbook are the excercises that help me sort out exactly what I want to come alive in my brand. It’s a workbook that lets your brand come into its full power, but evolves with you when you revisit it each time your brand grows. Probably the topic I find most difficult is the subject around creating a tag line for your brand.

    Currently, as I write this review, I have my office wall COVERED in sticky-notes and pictures related to my branding, waiting to “go live” to the world next. To me, a visual learner, it’s inspiring to see how it all comes together and creates clarity. Am I suggesting this approach while working through this workbook? YES ~ ABSOLUTELY! If you can’t temporarily sacrifice a wall in your home to do this, make a few secret Pinterest boards or make collages of cut-out pictures in a large journal or posterboard and put the notes with your strongest responses to the questions and visualizations in this workbook next to those pictures. But I guarantee, if you do this, it will make working through page 32 in the workbook (after the example given) and beyond a heck of a lot easier to brainstorm, create content, and implement into your branding.

    If you already have the logo and company name you absolutely love, the colors, the typefaces, and all the pretty pictures you think you need to represent your brand and WOW your customers, I applaud your efforts and congratulate you on your outstanding design efforts. But if you want your brand to be more than “just a pretty face” and want it to stand out in an oversaturated, noisy market, YOU NEED THIS WORKBOOK! Because people don’t buy products. They buy brands! 😉

    This has hands down been the best investment I’ve made in my business. I had a pretty strong sense of my target market, but it has really opened me up to understanding how many aspects of your business branding touches. I did a complete rebranding of my business before I got too far along, and this absolutely vital to the successful debut. What I learned led everything from the name change to product naming to choosing a designer who was a good fit and even styling my booth for events.

    I actually only sell cosmetics right now, not soap, and I still find nearly everything Kenna creates to be incredibly helpful. Vital, even, for building a successful business. This could actually be easily applied outside of the handcrafted industry if you’re struggling to get a firm grasp on your target market. I found it helpful to work through it slowly, bounce what I’d developed off of my husband because he understands my business and target market, then adjust. It took me a couple of months to fully work through it, but it was so, so worth it. I credit Brand Magic with laying the foundation for a successful brand and business revamp.

    Wonderful and helpful resource that will really make you think, rethink, analyze and work your brand. Good stuff! The only thing that I dislike is the hour-long video that comes with the booklet. It is bad quality both in video and audio and does not have the professional level of the rest of the Branding Magic. It is helpful though, even though it takes an effort to understand well.

      Thanks, Kelly! As we’re revamping the website, we are also revamping the products that will remain (Brand Magic being one of those). The original Support Hour was a Facebook Live, which we unfortunately couldn’t control quality on. We’ll be redoing this part of the resource soon. 🙂

    So, I’m embarrassed to admit that I hesitated before purchasing BRAND MAGIC because I wasn’t sure I wanted to “spend the money.” But I did purchase it and I began working through it. It is a lot of difficult work – Kenna really makes you think deeply and in great detail about your brand and target market. When I was about 2/3rds of the way through the book, I reached out to a company that does branding, graphics, and web design & development. I showed them the work that I had done from BRAND MAGIC and that work saved me $1,200 worth of their work and time! Am I glad I bought this book? Should you get this book? Is it worth it? Absolutely, positively, unequivocally yes!
